Creative Marketing Ideas from Max

I sent this to my team to help them get their creative juices going and thought I would post it here too since many of you are not on my team or on Max. Enjoy :-)

I wanted to share some ideas I learned from an awesome group of people that I admire on my Max Online Community. Every Wednesday night at 10pm (est) we have a Creative Marketing Ideas Chat and the members all contribute ideas, what's worked for them and what doesn't, plus any new stuff that seems interesting. Now, some of them (including mine, lol) seem way out in left field BUT, they do get us thinking of how we can make the idea work by talking about it. Some networkers would call this "masterminding" and that's a good word to use too.

We talked about getting yourself out there locally to help generate sales, leads, contacts, etc. A few of the ideas that came up were Pizza Boxes, Video Stores, and funny enough, Toilet Paper!! LOL (hehe made ya smile)
With the Pizza Boxes, the owners might allow us to put flyers sticky glued on the tops of the boxes. Of course, we should offer to glue them on ourselves so they're not overloaded with extra work for us. The flyers could be a whole page but we were thinking half a sheet or quarter sheet would be better as to not take away from the advertising of the Pizza Business. On the flyer could be a coupon, drawing contest, something could be hole punched after a certain number of pizza purchases, get a complimentary votive/back end product. It's up to you. :-) The pizza does get delivered to people and some will keep it to contact you. This wouldn't infringe on their products because they don't sell your products in their store/premise. This could be good to get the word out about a Fundraiser you'd like to do too.

Another idea is the Video Stores in your town. Same idea as the Pizza Boxes could apply here. I'm going to try this as the owner of the one near me wants to go fishing with my husband since he frequents the store alot. Good to have connections, eh? LOL

Hair/Nail Salons were mentioned but I haven't figured out an angle for this yet except for the same idea as mentioned above.

Now, for that funny left field idea I mentioned earlier - Toilet Paper, LOL I say left field because it started out as a joke between all of us but the next thing I know, we were all coming up with ways to make it work, including catch phrases. It actually seemed like a cool idea since I haven't seen it done anywhere. I haven't come up with a clear idea of an angle I can use and where to put them yet. I'm sure if I'm a little depressed about things, I'll think of this, smile, and come up with something. LOL

When things calm down a bit over here, I'll be thinking of what I would like to put on the flyers/coupons to try in the above mentioned stores, if I come up with something that might work or I try it and it does work, I'll let you know and you can decide if you want to do it too. Any ideas you have after thinking about what I've told you here, I'd love to hear them and we can brainstorm some more (minus the Toilet Paper idea, lol)
